Some may think it impossible to go dog sledding anywhere near a city, but with the ready supply of large parks full of long trails, it’s easier then one might think.

My cousin take advantage of these trails with her Malamutes Moose (black) and Bear (brown) while also borrowing her sister’s two Australian Shepards to make the sled team a solid four dog team.

Working as a nurse, she uses her schedule to her advantage to go sledding when most other people are at work. I had the chance to go with her over the holiday and it was a blast. It was my first time going dog sledding but after the -30 temps days before, the 36 temps were a delight as I rod along the snowy trails with the dogs.
